I have three full days left in Sydney.
Three.
Yet as of Thursday afternoon Sydney time, there has been one last change of events thrown my way. When I called my dad on the phone and told him about the news, he just laughed. “You have got to be kidding me,” he said. A message from my roommate: “I have never known someone to get so many curve balls in their life as you do. My god, your situations lately are just mind blowing.”
I will share with everyone what happened once an end has been reached because it really could go one way or the other at this point in time. I just know that at this point I have nothing to lose in pursuing this opportunity.
My stomach has felt like a pancake and has been doing flips all day long – a combination of nerves, anxiety and probably too many bowls of instant noodles drenched in soy sauce.
Either way, three full days left in Sydney is how I am looking at things right now. I have been sick off-and-on all week, and my brain has been on overdrive and over-ridden with emotions.
So with that being said, my travel quotes Thursday quote is a bit of a cliche. No, this travel quote is actually the biggest cliche of all quotes out there:
Everything in life happens for a reason.
I hope I figure out what the hell reason I have been on this insane, zigzagging path for the past 8 million months sooner rather than later, because I literally can not handle any more news of any kind.
