I’ve not done a fair amount of hikes and treks, but I’ve done a fair amount, and that was by far one of the hardest hikes I’ve done. My legs were shattered by the end, and yes – the feeling of getting up there is what makes it so rewarding. So glad you enjoyed it. Safe travels where ever you might be!

Your summary, that it’s a huge mental challenge is exactly my opinion. I think I never did something like this and had to motivate myself couple of times to not give up at this incredible steep wall to the top.
